Quazar blends data-driven insight with creative storytelling to help brands connect meaningfully with their audiences. We’re seeking a Mid-Weight Social Media Specialist who can translate strategy into scroll-stopping content and measurable engagement across platforms.
Role Overview:
As a Mid-Weight Social Media Specialist, you’ll be responsible for developing, managing, and optimising social media content across multiple brands, from financial services and tech to lifestyle and education. You’ll partner closely with our creative, copy, and strategy teams to ensure every post has purpose and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, and manage social media content calendars across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Craft and publish engaging posts that reflect each brand’s tone, purpose, and audience.
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create visual and written assets.
  • Monitor performance analytics and provide actionable insights for optimisation.
  • Engage with followers, respond to comments, and manage community interactions.
  • Stay current on social media trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Support paid media campaigns with audience targeting and reporting.
  • 3–5 years’ experience managing social media for multiple brands or clients.
  • Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and scheduling tools (e.g. Later, Hootsuite).
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, platform analytics, and community management.
  • Excellent writing skills and visual sense - ability to brief or create simple graphics is a plus.
  • Experience in financial, technology, or professional-services industries advantageous.
  • Ability to balance creativity with structure, deadlines, and data.
  • You must live in Cape Town and be able to travel to our offices in Upper Wynberg.Why Join Quazar?
