We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. This role requires someone with strong commercial and operational acumen, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven experience in below-the-line (BTL) marketing procurement.


Key responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services across business units (including activation materials, uniforms, printing, logistics, and premiums).

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, reliability, and compliance with company standards.

  • Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and negotiate supplier contracts, payment terms, and SLAs.

  • Maintain accurate supplier databases, pricing catalogues, and contractual documentation.

  • Work closely with project and production teams to forecast procurement needs and plan purchases accordingly.

  • Track purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier performance to ensure on-time and in-full delivery.

  • Monitor and report on procurement spend, cost savings, and supplier compliance metrics.

  • Support the implementation of procurement and supplier management policies across the business.

  • Collaborate with finance for invoice reconciliation and to resolve supplier payment queries.

  • Assist with BBBEE, ESG, and compliance reporting related to procurement and supplier development.



Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in BTL marketing procurement (agency or production environment essential).

  • Proven understanding of the marketing production supply chain — including printing, POS, event infrastructure, branded materials, and logistics.

  • Strong negotiation, commercial, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Excel.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Own vehicle advantageous.
