Trade Marketing Specialist - CPT
Job descriptionKey purpose of roleThe purpose of this role is to be responsible for leading the implementation of the business-to-business brand and communication plans, in line with agreed upon strategies, image and positional goals, aligned to overall organisational objectives. This includes monitoring competitor trends, managing relationships with 3rd party partners and internal stakeholders and implementing with accountability and ownership, working as a part of the Commercial/ Trade Marketing team and function. Key performance areas Project management and implementation of PMB Business-to-Business Marketing and Communication campaigns, including: • Liaise with Sales Management to collate content for collateral, mailers and activations. • Supply any DTP/ Agency/ Creative Teams with timeous and completed briefs, duly consulted with Marketing Manager • Manage delivery of creative from DTP/ Agency/ Creative Teams. • Execute timeous delivery of collateral on Everlytics / Rocketseed/Medialoop other. • Liaise with Sales Management/Management and collate content for:
• Liaise directly with creative teams and traffic as required to secure finished creative for approval. • Proof read campaign copy and submit to National Marketing and Events manager for final sign off. • Mobilise internal digital and social media strategies and departments to deliver • Plan activations to achieve business objectives, • CRM marketing fulfilment and interpretation of trends/needs • Co-ordinate briefs, creative and copy with suppliers. • Manage scope of work and delivery as per agreed strategy and budget schedules, prepared 6 months in advance. • Work closely with Research & Insights to produce content that communicates competitive advantages to the business • Leading the implementation of the brand and communication plans in line with agreed upon strategies, image and positional goals, aligned to overall organisational objectives. • On-going monitoring and measuring of brand and communication activity to improve results and maximise ROI to the company. Ensuring that the appropriate and relevant information is gathered and shared in a timely manner to aide organisational decision making. • Maintaining the brands’ CI (corporate identity), ensuring consistent delivery across all brand contacts and ensuring that their directives and guidelines are always adhered to by the company and its representatives. • Management of the brand and communications budgets to ensure that they are implemented on the appropriate initiatives and within its parameters. • Providing a report on a monthly and quarterly basis of Brand and Communications activities and initiatives. • Timeous updating of the trade calendar and communications thereof • Post campaign analyses execution and presentation to key stakeholders • Implementing ATL & BTL communications in line with budget and brand strategies to achieve objectives including briefing agencies and managing creative process within time scales. • Project manage the execution of approved brand plans in association with the relevant programming, digital, sales and support departments throughout the course of a campaign, including reviews and approvals at agreed-to milestones, as well as post campaign performance analysis. • Track, forecast and align campaign budget with actual spend and ensure proper report back. Trade Marketing: • Insight and contribution towards the fiscal budget. • Manage all concert tickets and distribution for Trade • Ensure that all client events, workshops and roadshows are implemented. • Responsible for all brand and company collateral (branding/ stationery/ general). • Manage and coordinate all client engagements • Relationship management with key stakeholders at Agencies. • Planning and coordinating of sales trade calendar. • Managing all client requests – gifts, cards, client hotel bookings, flights, transport. • Building and managing relationships with suppliers. • Managing all VIP and client/ exec touch points for station-owned events. Team Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery. • Participate in event execution and general team support. Minimum required qualification: • Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in marketing or communications Minimum years of experience: • Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience in the media or advertising industry, preferably broadcast media. Additional role requirements: • Valid Driver’s license • Willingness to travel occasionally for campaigns, events, and partner activations • 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing, trade marketing, or special projects. • Experience with event coordination/management, budget tracking, basic reporting, and data analysis support • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of marketing or project tools (e.g., MST, Asana, Trello) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Good knowledge of Microsoft, excel, MST • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt to a dynamic, high-pressure environment • A collaborative team player with assertiveness and high energy Suitable candidates will be selected in accordance with Primedia Broadcasting’s Employment Equity Policy.
