Job description

Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s or Diploma in Human Resources or Management Sciences or a relevant field.
    • Experience within Law Practice or Professional Services is preferred.
    • Registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) will be an added advantage.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in Employment Equity, including compliance, reporting, and implementation.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in Human Resource Administration, covering core HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in Industrial Relations, including disciplinary processes, labour relations, and dispute management.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in Remuneration, including payroll inputs, benefits administration, and reward frameworks. 

Responsibilities
    • Assist the HR Manager in integrating the operational HR strategy across business units to align with and support overarching business objectives. This includes ensuring that HR practices support the organisation’s goals and initiatives.
    • Provide strategic HR guidance on human capital matters to business units, offering insights and solutions that address workforce needs and contribute to a high-performing organisation.
    • Collaborate with centres of excellence to execute HR-related project initiatives, helping drive successful outcomes that enhance HR’s role within the business.
    • Manage the balanced scorecard performance management process, ensuring it is effectively applied across the business units to promote employee development and goal alignment.
    • Oversee the recruitment process for business unit roles, ensuring a streamlined and effective approach to talent acquisition that meets organisational needs.
    • Focus on maintaining a positive employee experience throughout the firm, working to foster an inclusive and engaging workplace environment.
    • Coordinate employee relations, ensuring that issues are handled according to established procedures to maintain a harmonious work environment.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment on HR-related matters across the organisation.
