Position: Sales and Service Consultants (Motor Insurance)
Location: George, Garden Route, South Africa
Company: Pacific International Insurance
Working Hours: 00:00 – 08:00 AM | Monday – Friday

We are looking for an energetic, customer-centric Sales & Service Consultant to join our George-based team. If you thrive on helping people, enjoy a challenge, and have a passion for sales and service excellence, this could be the perfect fit for you.

The role

As a sales and service consultant, you in the frontline in taking care of our customers, creating a great first impression and building long-lasting relationships.

The role is essential in securing customers, retaining customers, and providing exceptional service across inbound/outbound channels. You will assist customers by understanding their needs, providing product information, processing policy extensions, and ensuring every interaction is handled with care, accuracy, and professionalism.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls to sell or service motor insurance policies
  • Deliver outstanding, accurate service across phone, email, and written communication
  • Apply underwriting guidelines and decline risks outside appetite where required
  • Use proven sales techniques to confidently close leads and secure new business
  • Complete daily tasks, follow workflows, and meet deadlines and targets
  • Ensure compliance with all Pacific International Insurance policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties aligned with your skills and experience as directed by your manager

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Grade 12 / national senior certificate
  • A passion for sales and meeting targets
  • A resilient, positive and customer-focused mindset
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Experience in customer service or sales
  • Understanding of insurance fundamentals or willingness to learn
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication
Nice-to-have skills
  • Previous experience in insurance or financial services
  • Experience closing sales (face-to-face or telephonic)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability
  • Confidence in probing and gathering detailed customer information
