Job title: Account Executive 


Main purpose of job


To support the Account Manager in implementing client brand communication activities, by applying the agency processes. Building excellent internal agency working relationships, supporting the external relationships with clients through superior service and delivery. Must have an understanding of contractual agreement with clients including rate cards and scope of service.

Main responsibilities

  • Work as an integral part of team, supporting team members, communicating effectively, keeping all informed of the key steps within process, makes suggestions to improve efficiencies. 
  • Assists in implementing projects according to project activity plan and briefs.
  • Coordinate meetings and reviews together with support staff, IT and clients.
  • Knowledge of the client's business, including competitive activity, local and global industry and consumer trends.
  • Manage portfolio administration and communication briefs, call reports, weekly status, daily priority status, WIP, billings and age analysis.
  • Archive and maintain data folders, guard books for easy access and support in implementation of communication production.
  • Ensures cost estimates are prepared, checked and presented for approval timeously.
  • Manages individual jobs for job closure and billings, checks age analysis reports.
  • Supports senior members in any queries, assisting in resolving account queries.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with others (predominantly agency) but starting to develop relationships with clients supports the team in implementing projects.
  • Assists in gathering information and maintain brand history file (i.e. monthly report or competitor report and feedback).
  • Coordinates and prepares team for meetings and presentations.
  • Develops basic understanding of day to day running of the portfolio.
  • Timeously raises concerns and ensures sign-off/approval on all aspects of jobs by Manager.
  • Open to and actively shares knowledge/intelligence.
  • Contribute by effecting innovation that builds a positive agency culture, and actively foster or participate in fostering a positive work environment

  • Accurate financial admin (billings, WIP, age analysis)

Required qualifications / experience
  • Brand management or marketing communications diploma or degree or equivalent
  • 2 year experience in a similar role within a PR environment
