Job description
Key roles and responsibilities:
Student admission and registration
- Admit students onto a qualification in line with the specific admission and selection criteria (Academic Approval CRM), in consultation with the PC where necessary.
- Administer the RPL for access policy for the programme.
- Track and monitor RPL admission numbers (access).
- Process internal module exemptions (where applicable).
- Consider and action formalised module exemption applications including CAT.
- Monitor students ‘tagged’ on sims to ensure compliance with special registration requirements.
- General student administration tasks as determined by the DR from time to time.
Student support and service
- Manage, track and/or monitor student queries and take full responsibility for resolving the queries.
- Manage, track and/or monitor student complaints/concerns and channel to the correct department if applicable.
- Deal with and finalise special academic requests received from the Registrar’s Office.
- Channel exceptional academic requests (those that fall outside of the rules and/or may require a discretion) to the School Academic Committee.
- Build good relationships and liaise with internal departments, and part-time academics.
- Deal with student queries related to academic administration (e.g. programme news)
- Administer Plagiarism and AI letters.
- In performing these activities, the PO may engage with the various academic structures including the C4AS and academic staff.
Programme administration
- Monitor engagement and dropout rates on the qualification.
- Coordinate the implementation of the “Red module” SOP.
- Manage “at risk” students in line with STADIO’s at risk policy (as per Exco agreed priorities)
- Conduct module planning for students and consult with students on qualification choice.
- Consider student feedback from institutional surveys and action items as required.
- Manage general student communication on the qualification.
- Support the head of campus in setting the timetables for blended contact learning.
- Check and update all qualification documentation and configuration
- Provide input to module and programme coordinator on module and programme reviews.
- Support the PC in populating and updating the programme oversight files.
- Manage the distribution of student Plagiarism and AI letters.
- Coordinate the assessment results sign-off process in conjunction with the registrar's assessment team and the academic staff.
Requirements
Minimum requirements
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a higher education institution
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma (360 credits)
