City Lodge Hotels solves dining dilemma this festive season

"Dear City Lodge Hotels, I have been working from home for almost two years now, thanks to the various levels of lockdown, while trying to home-school the kids when schools are closed, keep the house clean and feed the family. I used to love my kitchen, but now I'm sick and tired of cooking and this festive season I'd like the day off. Please help!"

Dear valued guest, we are delighted to let you know that City Lodge Hotel Group is once again offering a festive feast at an affordable price so you can sit back and relax and let us do the cooking and washing of dishes for you. Our festive feast is available on 24, 25, 26 and 27 December 2021 at a cost of R150 per person as an enhanced breakfast offering, served from 7am to 11am at all Courtyard Hotels, City Lodge Hotels, Town Lodges and Road Lodges, whether you’re staying over or not.

Enjoy the range of traditional holiday favourites that will be served in a fun atmosphere, including items such as eggnog, honey glazed gammon, turkey roll, brisket, roast beef with chimichurri, French toast with Greek yoghurt and berries, Caprese salad, salmon and cream cheese pancakes, grilled halloumi salad, and a range of festive pastries and desserts. Each hotel brand is putting together a special menu of items for guests to enjoy at this extended breakfast/brunch.

Andrew Widegger, CEO, says, “We are delighted to offer a festive feast again at all of our hotels over the Christmas period. Our chefs, under the guidance of our group food and beverage manager, Trevor Boyd, have put together a range of dishes to tempt the tastebuds and create a sense of celebration at this time of year. As we wrap up 2021, we look forward to welcoming our guests and day visitors to our restaurants so that our team may deliver a scrumptious dining experience.”

You can be assured that strict Covid-19 protocols remain in place at all City Lodge Hotel Group properties for the safety of our staff and guests. For an outline of the health and safety measures, both front and back of house, please take a look at the website www.clhg.com.
