Job description

  • Assist with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.                                 
  • Build and develop strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for business expansion.
  • Liaise with the team regarding sample deliveries and customer visits.
  • Oversee the sample room, ensuring it is well-organised, up-to-date, and stocked with active items.
  • Coordinate sample deliveries and manage inventory to support customer needs and marketing initiatives.
  • Regularly visit clients to gather feedback, update CRM records, and provide market insights.
  • Monitor and report on market trends to identify opportunities for new product promotions or adjustments.
  • Gather and analyse data on competitors, customer preferences, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.
  • Market new and existing products to current and potential clients.
  • Conduct sessions for client representatives on product features, benefits, and usage.
  • Manage the lifecycle of new product development, from initial concept through testing and launch.
  • Conduct market research to gather insights on competitors, customer preferences, and industry developments.
  • Work closely with the sales team to align marketing strategies with sales goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to support marketing initiatives.
  • Address customer concerns promptly.
  • Prepare and participate in client meetings, including organizing logistics and materials.
  • Plan and participate in industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase products and network with potential clients.
  • Hold bi-monthly meetings with the sales and NDB manager to discuss sample deliveries, customer visits, market trends, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the marketing and sales teams and contribute to the overall success of the company.


Requirements

  • Relevant degree or post-matric diploma/qualification                             
  • Proven experience in marketing or a related field.
  • Experience within the food and/or packaging industry is an advantage
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyse market trends and data.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and CRM systems.
  • Syspro and power bi experience will be to your advantage
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Bilingual
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
