Key responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate stock levels of all food items, including dry goods and fresh produce.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock takes.
  • Monitor and control stock movement and implement strict loss control measures.
  • Ensure accurate capturing of stock data on internal systems.
  • Understand and monitor food costing and margins.
  • Identify and report on wastage, implement measures to reduce stock losses.
  • Manage receiving and issuing procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers and oversee deliveries for accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining accurate stock and costing reports.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient stockroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience in food stock control or food service management.
  • Strong knowledge of fresh produce handling and perishables management.
  • Proven understanding of costing, pricing, and gross profit calculations.
  • High attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.
  • Ability to enforce systems and ensure strict control.
  • Computer literate with experience on stock or POS systems.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and structure.
