We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading player in the label manufacturing sector, for a dynamic and experienced sales manager based in Cape Town - Winelands Area.
This is a pivotal role for a strategic, results-driven individual who can lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, expand the company’s footprint in new and existing markets, and ultimately drive sustained revenue growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the customer base and explore untapped markets
- Lead and manage the sales team: setting KPIs, coaching, training, and conducting performance reviews
- Identify skills and knowledge gaps in the team and implement development plans
- Forecast and monitor sales targets, ensuring accurate reporting and accountability
- Drive new business acquisition while maintaining high levels of client retention
- Foster long-term client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction remains a top priority
- Oversee and enforce internal sales processes and ensure compliance
- Provide industry-specific solutions to clients based on market trends and insights
- Prepare and deliver weekly sales reports and updates to management

Minimum requirements:
- A tertiary degree is essential; post-graduate studies will be a distinct advantage
- A minimum of 15 years’ proven experience in the label printing / packaging industry
- At least 10 years of experience managing sales teams in a corporate environment
- A demonstrated track record of success across the full sales cycle, from planning through to closing
