Our client is seeking dynamic individuals to join their team as a Insurance Sales Consultants. This role focuses on delivering high-quality direct-to-client service by assessing customer needs and offering relevant short-term insurance products (motor, household, and home). The successful candidate will play a vital role in client acquisition, representing the brand in an outbound telesales environment.

Job Title: Insurance sales consultant – short term insurance
Area: Cape Town (Relocation assistance available)

Salary / CTC: Stipend of R 16 000 (Negotiable Depending on current earnings, qualifications, and experience) with lucrative commission structure
Report to: team leader
Type: permanent / full Time

Key responsibilities:
  • Achieve monthly individual and team sales targets
  • Conduct financial needs analysis to provide appropriate product recommendations
  • Communicate with clients via phone and email to respond to queries and follow up on outbound calls
  • Accurately capture client information and sales processes on internal systems
  • Adhere to service level agreements, compliance standards, and sales processes
  • Engage effectively with internal stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Ensure compliance with risk, regulatory and procedural requirements
  • Display a strong alignment to company’s values and objectives

Qualifications and skills:
Qualifications:

  • Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
  • FAIS-compliant full qualification in Short-Term Insurance – Essential
  • RE5 Certificate – Essential
  • Class of Business certification – Essential and/or advantageous
  • CPD (Continuous Professional Development) credits – Essential and/or advantageous
  • Degree – Advantageous
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (fluent in English and/or Afrikaans)
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and closing ability
  • Solid administrative and time management skills
  • Good computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years’ outbound telesales experience in the short-term insurance industry – Essential

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:
  • Based in Cape Town office
  • Office hours with possible extended hours to meet sales targets
