Agri Personnel
Job purpose:To provide expert agronomic support, promote sustainable horticultural practices, and drive the adoption of biological, nutritional, and fertigation solutions across the agricultural sector. This role combines technical fieldwork with client relationship management and sales execution, ensuring customer success and optimal crop performance.
Key responsibilities:Technical advisory and field support- Advise clients on optimal use of biological products, biostimulants, and fertigation practices
- Assess soil health, plant nutrition, and crop performance to recommend tailored solutions
- Conduct field visits, trials, demonstrations, and performance evaluations
Sales and client relationship management- Build and maintain long-term relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, and distributors
- Identify new business opportunities and convert technical value into sales growth
- Support product launches and campaigns to increase market penetration
Reporting and analysis- Prepare detailed technical and sales reports using Excel and other digital tools
- Create presentations and field trial summaries for clients and internal stakeholders
- Track client engagement, product performance, and feedback to inform strategy
Training and knowledge sharing- Educate clients and internal teams on soil science, plant nutrition, and sustainable practices
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and scientific developments
- Participate in farmer days, industry events, and SACNASP-compliant CPD activities
Requirements:- SACNASP registered professional
- B.Sc. in Agriculture or a Diploma in Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of agricultural sales experience, with a proven track record in product adoption and client retention
- Strong technical knowledge of horticultural production systems, soil health, and plant nutrition
- Experienced in fertigation advisory, biological input application, and biostimulant use
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and digital reporting/presentation tools
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to client sites
