The External Sales Representative will be responsible for servicing existing customers while sourcing and securing new business within the timber and board industry. The role requires a proactive, driven individual with strong sales skills, the ability to build long-lasting customer relationships, and deliver consistent results.

Key responsibilities:- Service existing customers and maintain strong relationships.
- Source new business and expand the customer base.
- Report to the office
- Achieve personal sales targets and budgets.
- Negotiate prices, prepare quotations, and address client queries effectively.
- Promote and sell products to new and existing clients.
- Ensure orders are processed and delivered according to client requirements.
- Collect CODs, cheques, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Keep customer pricing profiles and records updated.
- Complete daily call sheets and maintain accurate sales reporting.
- Liaise with debtors/admin regarding outstanding accounts.
- Stay informed of competitor activity and market conditions.
- Attend bi-monthly sales meetings and daily one-on-one sessions with Sales Director.
- Assist with quarterly stock takes and ad-hoc tasks as required.
Qualifications and skills:Qualifications:- Matric certificate (Grade 12) essential.
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 3 years’ experience as an external sales representative.
- Experience in the timber and board industry is essential.
- English & Afrikaans speaking (bilingual).

Experience:- Proven track record in sales within the timber and board industry.
