We are looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. This role requires someone with strong commercial and operational acumen, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven experience in below-the-line (BTL) marketing procurement.
Key responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for goods and services across business units (including activation materials, uniforms, printing, logistics, and premiums).
Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, reliability, and compliance with company standards.
Prepare RFQs, RFPs, and negotiate supplier contracts, payment terms, and SLAs.
Maintain accurate supplier databases, pricing catalogues, and contractual documentation.
Work closely with project and production teams to forecast procurement needs and plan purchases accordingly.
Track purchase orders, deliveries, and supplier performance to ensure on-time and in-full delivery.
Monitor and report on procurement spend, cost savings, and supplier compliance metrics.
Support the implementation of procurement and supplier management policies across the business.
Collaborate with finance for invoice reconciliation and to resolve supplier payment queries.
Assist with BBBEE, ESG, and compliance reporting related to procurement and supplier development.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in BTL marketing procurement (agency or production environment essential).
Proven understanding of the marketing production supply chain — including printing, POS, event infrastructure, branded materials, and logistics.
Strong negotiation, commercial, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Excel.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
