Our client, a reputable and established company in the print and packaging industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Folding and Gluing Operator to join their production team. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with solid technical knowledge of folding and gluing equipment, as well as a strong commitment to quality and precision.
Key responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain box folding and gluing machines, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
Perform adjustments and troubleshooting to achieve optimal performance across various production runs.
Operate within the full range of standard and specialised folding techniques, adhering to production specifications and quality standards.
Read and interpret work tickets to ensure jobs are completed according to client and production requirements.
Ensure quality control throughout the folding and gluing process, identifying and correcting any defects.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
3–5 years’ experience operating H-lock, crash-lock, and 4-corner gluing machines in a print or packaging environment.
Strong working knowledge of machine setup, adjustment, and maintenance for folding and gluing operations.
Familiarity with a range of materials, including E-flute, B-flute, and solid board.
Ability to interpret job specifications and follow detailed production instructions.
A proactive approach to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Team-oriented attitude with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
