Join a Google Premier Partner agency at the forefront of digital marketing and AI automation. We're seeking a smart, detail-oriented intern to support our business development efforts through prospect research, CRM/automation tools, and marketing collateral coordination.

Role overviewThis internship offers hands-on experience in B2B marketing and business development at a leading digital agency. You'll play a key role in our growth strategy by identifying and qualifying potential clients, managing our lead pipeline using marketing automation tools, and supporting the preparation of client-facing materials.
Key responsibilitiesProspect research and qualification (40%)- Research potential clients across target industries
- Build profiles of decision-makers and key stakeholders
- Shortlist high-potential prospects based on defined criteria
- Maintain updated prospect databases
Marketing automation and CRM management (30%)- Track leads and opportunities in our automation platforms
- Monitor engagement metrics and lead scoring
- Update prospect status and interaction history
- Generate reports on pipeline progress
Collateral and content support (20%)- Customise pitch decks and proposals for specific prospects
- Adapt case studies and marketing materials to audience needs
- Coordinate with the team on content requirements
- Maintain organised library of sales collateral
Analysis and optimisation (10%)- Analyse which prospect types convert best
- Track outreach campaign performance
- Provide insights to improve targeting and messaging
Requirements- Degree or diploma in marketing, business administration, communications, or related field (final year students considered). Minimum NQF 5
- OR Strong academic performance in any degree demonstrating relevant analytical, research, or communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Analytical mindset
- Comfortable with technology and learning new tools
- Self-motivated and able to work independentlyThe candidate must be
- Cape Town-based
- Reliable laptop and high speed internet.
Preferred skills- Familiarity with CRM or marketing automation platforms
- Basic understanding of B2B marketing
- Experience with research and data analysis
- Interest in digital marketing and technology.
