New Golf 8 GTI specifications announced
The most digitally advanced Golf GTI is set to hit South African shores in the second quarter of 2021.
It comes powered with a 7-speed DSG petrol engine pushing out 180kW.
Standard features include18-inch "Richmond" alloy wheels, VW's lights and vision package, climatronic air conditioning, a heated leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, leather seats, the compound media sound system, 10,25-inch multi-colour InnoVision cockpit, App-Conect, cruise control, parking sensors, wireless smartphone charging and 30-colour ambient lighting.
Optional features include but not limited to a sunroof, LED matrix headlamps, a smoker's package, a parallel parking assistant, rear assist with rear view camera, blind spot monitoring, lane assist and adaptive cruise control.
The new GTI Golf will be available in three solid paint exterior colours: pure white, urano grey and moonstone grey; along with four metallic hues: dolphin grey, atlantic blue, kings red and reflex silver.
The pricing for the new Golf 8 GTI will be announced closer to the launch date.
