GBCSA spends Mandela Day with those less fortunate in JHB, CT

To honour the legacy of former President Nelson Mandela, the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) spent its 67 minutes on Mandela Day with underprivileged and displaced children and families in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

The Johannesburg office of the GBCSA partnered up with the Gauteng chapter of the Women's Property Network to hold a party for the young children at the Compass Pre-School at Compass Community Provision and Social Services Organisation in Edenvale. The Cape Town office utilised its 67 minutes by delivering donations to Thula Thula Hout Bay to assist the 10,000 people who were displaced by the devastating fires in Imizamo Yethu, earlier this year.
