    The Mason Company Forges Ahead in 2005

    The Mason Company, an independent entertainment management, marketing & brand communications company has notched up significant account gains in addition to developing new entertainment entities custom designed to meet client requirements and target audiences.

    Most recent notable wins include:

  • The Fred Hammond SA Gospel Concert tour on behalf of client AK Promotions. This 10-gig gospel tour is one of the largest events of its' kind to hit South African shores and kicks off in October 2005.
  • The Mason Company has also conceptualized an elite horse racing cup to be held at Randjesfontein race track, a privately owned track situated mid Johannesburg/Pretoria. The partners to the event are Kagiso Exhibitions, Phumelela Gaming & Leisure Limited and the Gauteng Racing Association. Mason Company will be responsible for the entire production, execution and corporate hospitality for the race day set for beginning November 2005.
  • The Rand Show has reappointed the company to create, manage and market the extensive entertainment line-up for the 2006 show including at least three music concerts that have to date attracted 20 000 plus fans per concert and billed some of the biggest names in SA music including the likes of Mandoza, Malaika, Skwatta Kamp, Lebo, Kabelo, Mafikizolo, Zola, Pitch Black Afro, Springbok Nude Girls, Watershed and more.
  • The launch of AMG Records and AK Promotions to the music and entertainment industry.
  • The Soweto Wine Festival, which is designed to identify and enhance investment opportunities in the fields of tourism and hospitality in the Soweto region.
  • The Triple Altitude Challenge - a weekend adventure sports challenge featuring cycling and additional adventure sports events to be held in Nelspruit, including Waterval Onder and Waterval Boven.
  • The Mason Company has also been appointed to launch the new Lexmark Office Building, the launch of their new premises to customers and stakeholders.
  • ABSA Soweto Festival - A five day festival of music, entertainment and exhibition. The owners of the show have brought back the old "Home Makers Fair" that was in Soweto. It will be a festival for all to enjoy!
  • Soweto Beer Festival - will be hosted at Mofolo Park from 28 Oct-2 Nov 2005.
  • Jozi Rocks - the Mason Company with undertake the management of the publicity and will be sub contracting the PR guru in rock, David Chislett.
  • Kaya FM Birthday and Office Park Launch - The popular radio station will be launching their new offices in New Town as well as their birthday with Simphiwe Dana enchanting guests.
