Comments Angela Todd, national training manager, "The burgeoning tourism and hospitality sector in this region demands a high standard for quality coffee products and service. Partnering with Lavazza Worldwide Training Centre Network, which has 43 training centres worldwide, we have the resources to deliver international standards and innovation to the local marketplace. This new state-of-the-art facility will give the industry the tools and support to train people in this sector to ensure that local baristas have in-depth and extensive knowledge of the coffee they serve to its best potential and successfully meet global expectations."

Ciro's barista training covers subjects from the history of coffee, coffee cultivation, production, palate development, cupping and familiarisation of the required equipment to make proper coffee with an emphasis on innovation and creativity.

Each year Ciro trains over 4000 baristas and this new centre has several work stations, where trainees will be able to use the machines and review their coffee making techniques.
