Engel & Völkers staff from throughout South Africa flew in for the event, as well as sponsors and Engel & Völkers Premium Partners from various companies such as Auto & General, Biddulphs and Terrace Living.
The evening started off with the summer rains threatening to spoil the party but dissipated just as the guests arrived. Guests were greeted by a red carpet leading them to their night of glitz and glam. Keeping in line with the theme, all the guests put on their poker faces as they started moving towards the gaming tables where they were able to try their luck at the various tables which included, craps (sponsored by MC van der Berg Attorneys), roulette (sponsored by MacRobert Attorneys), blackjack and of course, the wheel of fortune (sponsored by Baseline IT). Excitement built as guests cashed their 'money' in for chips and started their winning sprees. Those who preferred a bit of a break-away from the excitement gathered in the smoker's lounge where guests were spoilt with cigars and a seat at poker tables.
True to life, there always has to be a winner, and guests played off against each other to be the winner of the evening. There were prizes given throughout the evening, including Saxon Spa vouchers (sponsored by Auto & General), as well as various give-aways from Absa, Standard Bank and SA Homeloans.
