Grindrod's shipping division, headquartered in Singapore with a technical management team based in South Africa, will implement the BASS software on nine product and chemical tankers and an additional seven dry cargo vessels technically managed by the company's third party managers.
BASS is a leading provider of fleet management software for ship owners, ship managers, and operators of rigs, Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSOs) and offshore units world-wide. BASSnet is an integrated software suite designed to enable ship owners, ship managers and offshore companies to manage risks, safety, self-assessment (TMSA), ensure regulatory compliance, meet crewing needs and improve financial results.
