Master of the Loerie-verse declared

Candice Lind of Herdbuoys eKapa came out in the lead in the FeedYourEgo game hosted by The Loerie Awards this year. Created by Hello Computer and MetropolitanRepublic, the game let players' egos compete in online duels against other industry heavyweights in pursuit of the ultimate title of "Master of the Loerie-verse".

Lind's ego was bigger, better, bolder and brasher than anyone else's, as indicated by her victory of 136 games won and 55 drawn to only 18 lost when the results were calculated on Thursday, 17 September 2009. Her ego was called Garamond Pro, and lived by the slogan "He may be small, but dynamite comes in small packages. He is a regular guy with a bold personality."

Lind has won a pair of tickets to both awards evenings in Cape Town, plus a pair of Rockstar passes and two nights' stay at the Grand Daddy on Long Street.

"I'm ecstatic!" says Lind. "I wasn't going to go the awards this year, even though we're just down the road, and I was really bleak about that, so this is fantastic news!"

The competition saw 4 409 egos created and 9 853 games played in the weeks leading up to The Loerie Awards. The game's microsite, www.feedyourego.co.za was awarded Site of the Day by Favourite Website Awards (FWA).
