Hosts for the night were DJ SMASH from YFM and SA actress and TV presenter Amanda Du-Pont who made the announcement to the packed crowd. Mosete, a junior construction worker in the Joburg area, beat eleven of the country’s hottest men to grab the 2017 title in the annual Cosmopolitan search.

“I can’t believe that I’ve been named the sexiest man in our country. I am thankful to the public that voted for me and honoured to be Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest Man of 2017. The event was so much fun and I know the other men all stood a great chance up against me,” says Mosete who walked away with a R10,000 cash prize.

17 years running

“SA’s Sexiest Man is by far one of the most exciting campaigns we carry out each year,” says acting editor, Kerrie Simon-Lawrence. “From the selection of the men, through to the shooting of the calendar, and then handing over the voting power to our readers, it’s a campaign that Cosmo has been rolling for 17 years, with great success. This year, the support of sponsors Gordon’s Gin and GUESS clothing made it even better.”
