Women's Day functions in Cape Town and Worcester

A traditional cake and tea morning with Debora Patta will be held at the Golden Valley Casino, Worcester, and a Market Exhibition is to be held at the GrandWest CSI, Cape Town, to celebrate Women's Day on Tuesday, 9 August, 2011.

Starting at 10am, guests will be addressed by television journalist Debora Patta while sampling sweet and savoury treats. Exhibitions will be set up in the foyer showcasing local offerings. In addition, the ticket price of R50 per person also includes a gift pack and entry into a lucky ticket draw. Tickets are available from the venue. Market Exhibition

Held between 9am and 6pm, the Market Exhibition will showcase the products and skills of emerging female entrepreneurs. Visitors will have the opportunity to meander through the exhibits and purchase goods from children's books and furniture to jackets, hand-made bags, accessories, crafted trays, pottery, painted fabrics, African sandals, innovative recycled products, vintage wear, and home goods. There will also be treats, from cupcakes to chocolates and even health foods and smoothies. A beauty treatment stand will offer manicures, pedicures, head and hand massages.
