Digital 360-degree view of Kurt Geiger creations

Kurt Geiger has launched a digital app allowing South African consumers to view the shoe catalogue imagery on Facebook in a full 360 degrees.

Together with digital partner agency, Fontera, the concept was first introduced on the website and smart phone platform. The company has now launched the second phase with the shoe gallery in Facebook, with the remainder of the catalogue due to roll out over the next few weeks.

The company's customer relationship executive, Nadia Mohamed, is excited at the future prospects of the application, particularly given the way in which consumers are browsing fashion online before making store visits. "Today, customers are always connected, viewing and purchasing fashion online like never before. This new application will make it even easier for consumers to view a garment, shoe or accessory from every imaginable angle before going in store to purchase. We believe it's a South African first in the fashion retail industry and we are proud to have it on our platform."

Fontera's Steve Jones was project lead and utilised the services of 360° product photography specialists, Turnpics, to shoot and develop the application for Facebook. "Product presentation is as important in the digital space as it is in bricks and mortar stores and this offering provides the perfect demonstration of the product range for digital viewer."
