Outbreak Control and Prevention Africa Conference coming in April

The fourth biannual Outbreak Control and Prevention Africa Conference will be held at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways, Sandton from 22-23 April 2015. The two-day conference will analyse the importance of having a disaster management and preparedness plan in case of an outbreak, the understanding, surveillance and clinical treatment of infectious diseases, look at the economic effects of outbreaks and build capacity for outbreak investigations in Africa.

It will also cover the industrialisation of prisons and correctional centres to promote outbreak control, look at the impact and the role of Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and how to involve communities to halt the expansion of the Ebola virus epidemic in Africa and beyond.
