The NCT calls for applications

The National Children's Theatre (NCT) is looking for four young, fresh, energetic graduates who are looking to build up their experience as directors. The NCT is providing an opportunity for aspiring young directors to gain experience under the mentorship of the CEO and artistic director of NCT. Applications are hereby invited for short-term contract position of NaCTIES junior directors.
The NCT calls for applications

The NCT has established a new performance group for children (ages 7 to 17) who can sing/dance and act, called NACTIES. This group is an advanced class selected from its regular Saturday morning workshops. The aim is to provide the children with practical experience through the rehearsal process. Each director will be required to direct a one-act production with a cast of five to seven children.

If you have a postgraduate degree or diploma in drama/musical theatre/directing and are passionate about children and nurturing young talent, submit a CV and short motivation to az.gro.ttcn@ariom.

Possible future work

Successful candidates will be required to attend pre-production meetings. The NACTIES class will run every Saturday from 12.30pm to 2.30pm during the school term beginning Saturday, 26 January, 2014. The final product will be showcased in the new box theatre at the end of the term and parents, public and press will be invited to attend. If successful, they may add additional public performances.

Please note that this is a learning opportunity, similar to an internship, and may result in further work in the future.

Applications should be received by no later than Friday, 13 December 2013. Successful applicants will be advised of interview dates. If you do not hear from them by 19 December, 2013, consider your application as unsuccessful.
