Revisit the golden age at Retrofest

Retrofest, to be held at NIROX Sculpture Park in the Cradle of Humankind on the 31 October, celebrates an age when music changed the world. Some of South Africa's finest acoustic musicians will perform a selection of the greatest songs from the 1960s and 1970s.

Songs by Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison, Nina Simone, Otis Redding, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and more will be brought to life by local artists Josie Field, Donovan Borne, Bye Beneco, Nic Dinnie, Justin Serrao, The Urban Village, and The Runaway Train Cult.

Cuisine on offer will be courtesy of The Epicurian Emporium - a collective of high-end food stalls from flourishing food-and-design markets, with emphasis on healthy, naturally sourced options.

Gates open at 10am with music from 11am. There is ample secure parking inside the venue and concert-goers are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full day of music and to tour the Sculpture Park.

Tickets are available for online pre-sale from www.acousticsnow.org at R300. Tickets for sale at the gate are R320. All ages welcome. Children under 12 pay half-price. Infants aged two and under enter free of charge. No food/drinks/pets through the gate.
