Imogen Heap's upcoming SA tour cancelled

Heavy Chef has indicated that Imogen Heap will no longer be attending her upcoming masterclasses and concerts in South Africa. While she may not physically attend the Music. Data. Identity. masterclass at Workshop17 in Cape Town, she will be available to deliver her message via remote feed.

"On the weekend, I received a message from the team in charge of bringing Imogen Heap to South Africa. The message read: ‘I'm deeply sorry, but the Imogen Heap tour has been cancelled due to circumstances out of my control,’" said Heavy Chef CEO Fred Roed.

Imogen Heap's upcoming SA tour cancelled

Heap stated yesterday from London: “I am very disappointed to share with my fans in South Africa that our upcoming concert dates in Cape Town and Johannesburg have had to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. With this, it means I’m also unable to come and deliver the keynotes, workshops and acoustic evening with the music community, surrounding the future of the music industry. I was really looking forward to coming back to South Africa to reconnect with the fans and to work with the music community toward better horizons."

Heavy Chef has indicated that it will chat to Heap's team independently to bring her back to our shores.

In response to this situation, Heavy Chef will refund tickets in full and has alerted ticket-holders to watch their inbox over the next day or so for more information. In addition, it will offer ticket-holders an additional free ticket to any one of its other evening sessions this month and next.
