A Decade of Dance powered by 5FM is the ten-year birthday bash of this popular dance event. Taking place at the Wild Waters complex in Boksburg on Saturday, 7 March 2009, this year's H2O promises to be the wettest and wildest H2O party yet!
More than 15,000 dance fiends are expected to converge at the complex on the day, to catch 60 of South Africa's top DJs scorching up the decks across nine dance floors, from deep house to hip-hop and funky electro to progressive techno.
In addition to a dazzling international lineup (Tony Cha Cha, Phillipe Truan and Kanan K7) you can expect to see SA's prime DJing talent in action, including Goldfish, Ryan Dent, Lady Lea, Spiro, Speedy, Ready D and Shaun Duvet and of course your favourite 5FM DJ's Fresh, Euphonik, Erica Elle, Mlu and Roger Goode. Goode's Saturday Surgery will be broadcast live from H2O on a different dancefloor each hour!
In the dance spirit of things, 5FM is offering one lucky listener and four of his or her friends the opportunity to be treated like a super-fabulous dance DJ for the day. All you have to do is think back to your most distinctive memories of H2O and phone into Grant and Anele's show, weekdays between 12 noon and 3pm, with your anecdotes.
“We all know what happened to accidental celebrity Vernon Koekemoer after he got snapped flexing his pecs at H2O,” says 5FM's Anele. “That's definitely one of my most memorable moments at H2O!” If your anecdote entertains on Grant and Anele's show then you could find yourself enjoying a dedicated limousine service to transport you around in style for the entire day, V-VIP access to the event, stylish Jet Set watches, a wardrobe makeover by Cameroon Clothing and an H2O - Decade of Dance compilation CD.
