Between 10am and 10pm, Kurt Darren, Nicholis Louw, Nedine Blom, Elizma Theron, Bok van Blerk, Heinz Winckler, Lianie May, Andriette Norman, Pieter Koen and Bobby van Jaarsveld will all be taking to the stage in a day of fun, music and relaxation for the whole family.
"With such a star-studded line-up for Oppiewal 2, coupled with the beautiful surroundings along the banks of the Vaal, there is no doubt that it will be a festival of note," said Emerald Resort & Casino CEO Martin Rice. "Afrikaans music fans should diarise 8 May right away, so that they don't miss out."
Super 14 too
Festival-goers can expect a large beer tent and food stalls, as well as large-screen televisions on which they can catch the day's Super 14 rugby action.
Tickets cost R80 for adults, and R50 for children under 12. Tickets are available at the Emerald Resort & Casino's Aquadome, or at the gates on the day of the festival. Gates open at 9am.
Festival-goers are encouraged to bring along their own camping chairs and umbrellas. However, no cooler bags or picnic baskets will be permitted.
