Rockers descend on Darling for festival

The Cloof Wine Estate in Darling was transformed into a rocking festival as thousands of music lovers descended on the venue to enjoy hours of great music at the Rocking the Daisies event. The festival encourages supporters to "play hard, tread lightly".

Bands from around the world arrived at the wine estate where they performed on any one of the four stages that had been erected for the festival.

Performances from Just Jinger, The Arrows, Louise Carver, Sibot, Jack Mantis, Band of Skulls and Tumi and the Volume kept the crowd rocking during the fifth annual festival.

The environmentally friendly concert had a serious side to it with Food and Trees for Africa planting 350 indigenous and fruit trees in the town to offset the carbon footprint that resulted from the thousands of rockers arriving at the town.
