    Ferrari wins International Engine of the Year award

    The International Engine of the Year Award ceremony was held in Stuttgart yesterday, with 63 jurors from more than 30 countries deliberating which car engine to crown the best in the world.
    Ferrari wins International Engine of the Year award

    Ferrari scooped a record number of awards including the overall International Engine of the Year award for the twin-turbo V8 that powers the 488 GTB, 488 Spider and, with a slightly different displacement, the California T. This engine also won the Performance Engine and New Engine categories, as well as the 3-litre to 4-litre displacement category. Ferrari's 6.3-litre V12 engine also received a distinction, while Ford’s 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine was voted best in class for the fifth year in a row.

    1.0L-1.4L: PSA Peugeot Citroën 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo
    1.4L-1.8L: BMW 1.5L 3-cylinder hybrid
    1.8L-2.0L: Mercedes-AMG 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo
    2.0L-2.5L: Audi 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo
    2.5L-3.0L: Porsche 3.0L 6-cylinder turbo;
    3.0L-4.0L: Ferrari 3.9L twin-turbo V8
    Over 4.0L: Ferrari 6.3L V12
