Historic all-Black team to race at Kyalami 9 Hour

Transformation in SA sport is a point of contention, particularly when our national teams don't perform. Motorsport, despite attempts in the early 2000s, has been one of the slower codes to include competitors of colour. That's why it will be a historic day in local racing when an all-black team takes to the grid of the 2021 Kyalami 9 Hour.
Historic all-Black team to race at Kyalami 9 Hour

The first all-black team tackling the famous race will consist of Xolile Letlaka, Tschops Sipuka and Philip Kekana. The trio of local drivers will take on the best GT3 racers in the world behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo. While the Kyalami 9 Hour is the final round of the Intercontinental GT Championship several local drivers will be competing in the ‘national class” also in GT3-spec machines.
