JAC Motors enters SA market with commercial vehicles

The HFC1060 light trucks are equipped with CUMMINS ISF 3.8 engines, developed to ensure low operating costs, excellent performance, and high power and torque. The ISF engines' advanced thermal engineering ensures high operating temperatures, reducing the size and cost of the vehicle cooling package. CUMMINS' waste-gated turbocharger technology also provides excellent performance across RPM range, as well as improved response through higher low-end torque. The engines' power ranges cover from 105KW to 125 KW, while PPL reaches 32.9KW/L.

Local office will be opened

JAC Motors also plans to establish a local South African office later this year. The office will act as a platform to collect valuable market data to improve and adapt its products to the needs of the South African customer. The new team will provide support and key after-sales training to JAC Motors' local partners and distributors. Moreover, the office will allow JAC Motors to engage directly with the South African customer.

International exports grew globally by over 200% in 2011, and this growth will support plans to enter into other emerging markets, such as South Africa, in the coming years. JAC Motors experienced the fastest growth rate in the Chinese automotive export sector, with its vehicles now making up for 8.1% of China's automobile exports.

Last year also marked the eleventh successive year in which JAC Motors was the number one Chinese light commercial vehicle exporter, and the year in which it became China's number two passenger vehicle exporter.
