Supply chain network modeller

With a degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics, your supply chain business/network modelling skills and expertise will be suitably applied in this role.

As the Supply Chain Network Modeller, you will conduct Supply Chain analysis, design, build and operate supply chain models within existing CAST Aurora (modelling software). Simulate and analyse the Supply Chain environment by modelling 'what-if' scenarios, and advise on recommended solutions and alternatives.

Whilst a minimum of two to three years' Supply Chain Modelling and Business Analysis experience is essential, the position does offer the opportunity of further development and maintenance of professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and seminars, conducting research and benchmarking. You will be required to keep abreast with latest developments in CAST software as well as general supply chain modelling.

Some key responsibilities include: • Supply Chain analytics through data analysis and visualisation • Design and development of network models within existing supply chain modelling software • Source and interpret data and prepare for modelling • Ensure required input obtained for model design to result in correct model representation of supply chain processes • Do statistical analysis to provide model input where required • Management of data structures and different CAST models • Develop visualisation reports from modelling results to analyse and interpret data and results • Formal query writing • Result reporting • Comparison of outputs against agreed KPI's.

You need: • A Business or Engineering degree (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics) • Experience within a manufacturing and distribution environment • Knowledge and experience of modelling within CAST Aurora (or similar software) and advanced Excel skills are essential • some database development and query writing skills (MS Access/SQL Server) and other analytical tools such as Tableau or QlikView are advantageous.
