Amongst the participants will be yoga teachers and students, their families and friends, as well as children and teachers from the Earthchild Project's yoga programme in Khayelitsha and Lavender Hill.
The Earthchild Project is a registered non-profit organisation, which focuses on the holistic education of children, teachers and schools in disadvantaged communities in Cape Town. Their aim is to create meaningful and sustainable change by providing practical skills for life. The programme includes activities such as organic food gardening, worm farming, hiking clubs, healthy tuckshops, yoga and meditation.
Nokuphiwo Jada, Earthchild facilitator at Sakumlandela Primary School, said: "Growing up in an area like Khayelitsha brings its own dangers, its own fears. I have found yoga to be a great tool that allows me to love myself and to connect with other people, and I am happy to be able to teach a new generation of the virtues of a healthy, holistic lifestyle."

Drive down Buitengracht Street towards the V&A Waterfront.
Turn left into Somerset Road, which then turns into Main Road.
Turn right at a large intersection with robots into York Street.
Take the first exit left at the round about onto Helen Suzman Boulevard.
Take the slip lane on the right onto Bill Peters Drive, before you reach the main intersection. You will see the Virgin Active in front of you.
Parking will be straight ahead, once you reach the STOP sign.
