Kia Motors South Africa was the proud title sponsor of the first ever Shout SA celebrity golf day. Shout SA was established in March 2010 and is a non-governmental institution. Its main objective is to fight crime in South Africa by raising awareness and getting the South African public actively involved, with the ultimate goal of creating a better and safer South Africa.

Educate to eradicate

All proceeds of the golf day will be donated to Primary School No. 4 located in the community of Diepsloot informal settlement. The bulk of the funds will go to building a new library for the school, as well as upgrading other facilities. Gavin Koppel, founding member of Shout SA believes in the importance of education and feels that it is a fundamental starting block to reducing crime in South Africa. "I get asked this question quite often, and I simply answer: If you don't educate, we will not eradicate."

KIA Motors South Africa has been the official vehicle sponsor of SHOUT SA since establishment, and is proud to be involved in this event. Ray Levin, CEO of Kia Motors said: "We are passionate about fighting crime, and together with Shout SA, we believe that we can make a difference in creating a safer South Africa for everyone. This golf day is one of many fundraising events organised by the Shout SA, and with the high interest shown by corporates and celebrities this year, I am positive that this will become an annual event."
