Fine & Country sets sights on Port Elizabeth

Fine & Country International Realty SA, an esteemed brand which only branches out to reputable areas after tactical consideration, is now taking on the Port Elizabeth market.
Fine & Country sets sights on Port Elizabeth

Derrick Wademan, who has been in the property business for 10 years, has recently acquired the Port Elizabeth license for Fine & Country, and is delighted to capitalise on the world-class expertise of this innovative brand, as he injects his own savvy into the business.

Wademan has a wealth of experience and expertise in property and complementary disciplines. Born and bred in Johannesburg and now resident in Port Elizabeth, Wademan has gone from strength to strength in building a professional real estate practice.

Wademan's formal education includes a National Technical Diploma in civil engineering and a post-graduate diploma in financial planning. He is also a registered builder with the NHBRC. Wademan finds that the real estate industry helps him combine many of his interests into a career that he really feels passionate about.

A prime location

The new Fine & Country office will be situated in the Metropolitan Centre at 277 Cape Road in Port Elizabeth, a sound location with good visibility and easy access for clients.

According to Wademan, he has chosen Port Elizabeth as a base because it offers good value for money, with a wide variety of real estate for the astute investor. The properties in Port Elizabeth cater for a broad target market and the relatively low crime rate makes it an ideal location to establish a home.

Currently, full-title homes are marketing between R900,000 and R6m. The law of economics is clearly seen in the rental market, which has seen an increase in demand and a shortage of supply, with an inevitable increase in prices. Tenants can expect to pay a rental of R4000 per month for a two-bedroomed flat, and about R6000-R12,000 per month for an average three to four bedroomed home on a 1500m² stand.

Although stringent banking policies are hampering entry into the market for first-time buyers and investor buyers, with a loft studio marketing at about R350,000 and a two-bedroomed unit at R600,000, Wademan is excited to offer his clients all the benefits of a world-class brand.

Linda Erasmus, CEO of Fine & Country International Realty SA, said, "We welcome our new licensee who, like all our other licensees, will have access to the group's proprietary data, technology and trademarks and will have our full support to ensure total client satisfaction."
