    Free MyCiTi services from Cableway

Summiting Table Mountain has become even easier with the launch of a free MyCiTi shuttle service between the Lower Tafelberg bus stop at Kloof Nek and the Cableway entrance, launched on Saturday, 15 August 2015.

The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company has contracted the MyCiTi service to provide all Table Mountain visitors, including hikers, with a free shuttle service along Tafelberg Road along route 110; encouraging visitors using their private vehicles to use the free parking at the bottom of Tafelberg Road or make use of the MyCiTi service from the CBD or Camps Bay up to the Kloof Nek stop using their myconnect or single trip cards.

"This is an exciting first step towards more park and ride facilities being provided to visitors at Heritage sites across South Africa," said Sabine Lehmann, MD of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company. "The free shuttle service will also reduce traffic and parking congestion along Tafelberg Road."

The service will operate daily from 7am in summer (7.30am in winter) from Kloof Nek with the last shuttle departing the Lower Cable Station at 7pm from the Cableway station in summer (6.45pm in winter). Buses depart every 20 minutes.

    The Cableway operates weather permitting.
