AWIEF launches USAID-funded SMEs Investment and Export Readiness Programme
USAID TradeHub and Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) have launched a new programme to increase investor, export readiness and competitiveness of 100 SMEs in Southern Africa.
Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zambia are among the countries targeted by the USAID-funded 'Enhanced Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Investment and Export Readiness Through a Digital Platform' programme.
The programme aims to leverage the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), a US Trade Act that significantly improves market access to the US for qualifying SSA countries, until 2025.
