Cape Town Tourism shines with three silver wins at International Tourism Film Festival Africa

Cape Town is racking up the silverware, literally! Cape Town Tourism (CTT) has won three Silver Awards at the prestigious International Tourism Film Festival Africa 2025 (ITFFA), demonstrating once again that storytelling, soul, and a touch of cinematic flair are integral to the city's DNA.

The three wins shine a spotlight on Cape Town’s knack for telling unforgettable stories, from its vibrant people and incredible scenery to the wild adventures that make the city so unique.

Behind the camera? Sledgehammer Studio, the creative powerhouse that teamed up with CTT to turn Cape Town’s magic into movie magic, full of heart, hustle, and serious visual flair.

Here’s the silver lineup:

  • Pass the Love with DHL Stormers and Love Cape Town: A feel-good celebration of rugby, community spirit, and local pride.
  • Wonder2Wonder: This one’s all about the city’s magical contrasts and unexpected moments, together with Visit Victoria Falls.
  • Limitless Cape Town: A high-energy visual journey showing that in Cape Town, adventure knows no bounds, and magical memories can be created without limits.

Enver Duminy, CEO of Cape Town Tourism, says the wins show the hard work and dedication behind Cape Town's tourism success.

“These awards aren’t about shiny trophies on display; they reflect how we see Cape Town – layered, lively, and full of love. Each video is a postcard to the world, saying, ‘You’ve got to experience this for yourself!’ It’s an honour to be recognised on an international stage, and even more rewarding to know we’re connecting with people through these stories.”

Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, says the global acclaim is a boost not only for tourism but for Cape Town’s economy.

“When our stories travel, so do travellers, and that means jobs, investment, and opportunity for Capetonians. These awards are proof that marketing Cape Town with heart and creativity works. We’re doing more than showcasing a destination, we’re building an economy powered by tourism.”

The ITFFA celebrates excellence in tourism storytelling across Africa, spotlighting destinations that know how to turn the lens on their local gems, and Cape Town knows how to work a camera!

With these wins, Cape Town Tourism continues to show how creativity can drive global interest, inspire travel dreams, and ultimately bring more feet to our streets and smiles to our locals.

Keep the popcorn handy, we’ve got more stories to tell.
