    Insurance Sales Consultant

    Our Client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven outbound sales consultant to join their dynamic sales team. As an outbound sales consultant, you will be responsible for prospecting potential clients, and closing sales through effective sales techniques. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a persuasive demeanour, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

    Area: Cape Town (relocation assistance available)

    Remunerations structure:
    • Guaranteed income (First 3 Months): Matched to current earnings (negotiable, based on qualifications and experience)
    • Commission: Uncapped, 100% commission-only from month 4 onward
    • Earning potential: Up to R100 000+ per month based on performance
     
    Report to: Team leader
    Type: Permanent / full time

    Training and onboarding:
    • Full training provided (Duration: 2 weeks to 1 month)
    • Post-training quality assurance and scripting guidance
    • Shadowing and mentorship by experienced consultants
    • Dialling begins in month 2 with full earning potential from that point
    Working hours:
    • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
    • One compulsory Saturday per month
    • Extended hours (until 19:00) or an additional Saturday may be required if under target

    Key responsibilities:
    • Conduct outbound calls to potential clients to generate quotes and secure sales
    • Perform financial needs assessments and recommend suitable insurance products
    • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and follow up on enquiries
    • Effectively handle objections and close sales
    • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions on CRM
    • Meet or exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and share best practices
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions
    • Promote client retention and repeat business through excellent service
    • Ensure full regulatory compliance and uphold company ethics and standards
    Qualifications and skills:
    Qualifications:
    • Matric (grade 12) – Essential
    • Full FAIS-compliant Insurance qualification – Essential
    • RE5 certificate – Essential
    • Class of business certification – Essential and/or advantageous
    • CPD (Continuous Professional Development) credits – Essential and/or advantageous
    • Tertiary degree – Advantageous
    Skills:
    • Excellent communication in English (Afrikaans also advantageous)
    • Proven sales, negotiation, and closing ability
    • Administrative accuracy and time management
    • Computer literate with ability to learn new systems
    Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years outbound sales experience in insurance – Essential
      Key competencies:

    • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
    • Collaborative team player with interpersonal savvy
    • Resilient, persuasive, and adaptable in a high-performance environment
    • Compliance-conscious with high attention to detail

    Working conditions:
    • Office-based role in Cape Town – relocation support available
    • Flexibility required for overtime when underperforming
