Cellar master Andrea Freeborough described the layered and complex dessert wine as very fragrant with typical Muscat and floral notes with aromas of currants, raisins, citrus and spice and a rich, luscious palate, balanced by good acidity.

Previous vintages of Eminence, sold exclusively at the annual Nederburg Auction, have also excelled internationally, earning Gold medals at earlier competitive events, including the International Wine Challenge, International Wine & Spirit Competition, Decanter World Wine Awards and the Six Nations Wine Challenge. The 2008 vintage featured as one of the top-10 wines in the Muscats du Monde in 2015, while the 2009 vintage won a trophy at Decanter World Wine Awards and was a double Gold winner at Veritas.

Top Wine SA Hall of Fame

Eminence also features on the Top Wine SA Hall of Fame list and amongst the SAWI (SA Wine Index) Grand Wine Collections for the high number of accolades the wine has received across vintages internationally and at local competitions.
