kalahari.net becoming a gifting destination

Online retailer kalahari.net is moving more and more towards becoming an all-round gifting destination, according to Gary Hadfield, CEO of kalahari.net. Part of this move is the addition of jewellery and watches to its online offering, backed by wholesaler Eterniti Jewellery.

"Globally, several e-tailers have launched jewellery offerings," comments Hadfield. "This is the first time that kalahari.net is mbracing a true fashion item that is outside our core product range and we have spent a lot of time investigating and getting the correct supply chain in place.

Convenience

"Buying jewellery in the comfort of your own home, saving the time of having to visit various jewellery stores and being able to send a quality, elegant gift to a loved-one far away without having to worry about delivery issues and insurance is another way in which kalahari.net is adding convenience," he adds.

The jewellery shop currently offers close to 1000 products, ranging from watches (including Fossil, Adidas, DKNY, Diesel, Seiko and other well-known brands) to nine and 18 carat ladies pendants, bracelets, chains, rings, earrings and more. A children's range of charm bracelets, earrings and ID bracelets makes for perfect Christmas gifts.

For gents, the shop offers a titanium range of rings, bracelets and earrings, as well as chains and pendants - with new ranges and lines that will be added continuously. All watches come with manufacturer guarantee and customers buying diamond products of a half carat or more are issued with the diamond certificate.

Features

Other features include: an online ring size guide that makes it easy to buy the right size ring; large product images that enable customers to see the product in detail; detailed product specifications; all products are insured in-transit and delivered in elegant jewellery boxes; and customers have 14 days to return products should they not be entirely satisfied with their purchase. An added bonus is that customers can use their eBucks to make jewellery purchases.

"In an online environment that is becoming increasingly competitive, we have to offer our customers the ultimate in convenience. That means adding to our product range continuously and finding more ways that will simplify our customers' lives," says Hadfield.

Eterniti Jewellery sources the majority of its fine jewellery from OroAfrica, one of the largest manufacturers and wholesalers of jewellery in South Africa and partly owned by Anglogold.
