The confirmed line-up of speakers for the annual two-day conference themed 'The Business of Attractions Management' will share inspirational insights and invaluable best practices. They will address topics including the future of visitor attractions, a scientific approach to food and beverage, current benchmarks and emerging markets, digitalisation in communication, as well as sales and product development.

"Attractions Africa 2015 provides a platform to network with peers from multiple tourism industries: the likes of, resorts, aquariums, theme parks, wine farms, nature and game reserves, as well as community project managers," said Sabine Lehmann, MD of the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, and Chairman of Attractions Africa.

"The conference is an opportunity to share experiences and engage in rich discussions. The insights gained will contribute to personal and professional growth, as well as assist in creating memorable guest experiences that drive repeat business."

Develop innovative strategies

Postma, who is a Professor of Scenario Planning at the European Futures Institute (the research centre of Stenden´s School of Leisure and Tourism Management), explores different scenarios and focuses on how attractions can prepare for developments that could affect business positively or negatively in the future. The idea is not to wait and react to trends, but to develop innovative strategies that give businesses advantages over their competitors.

Fellow speaker Russell will draw on The Russell Partnership's more than 20 years' experience delivering innovative foodservice and catering expertise to major hotel companies and conference centre groups. The company also provided and implemented the food strategy for the London 2012 Summer Olympics and the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.

Andreas Andersen, the CEO and President of the Liseberg Amusement Park in Gothenburg, Sweden will also address the conference. Andersen chairs the European branch of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

There is an early-bird special of R3300 (until 15 May), after which the registration fee is R4125 and includes conference sessions and materials, the conference social as well as refreshments and lunches.
