Shrangri-La Hotels appoint Lesley Simpson as GSA Company

Specialist PR and travel marketing company Lesley Simpson Communications (LSC) has recently secured the Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, one of the world's premier hotel ownership and management companies.

Since its establishment in 1971, the group has grown rapidly to satisfy the increased demand for deluxe hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific's capital cities and most sought-after destinations. Today with 74 properties worldwide, they appeal to not only the leisure but also business and incentive markets offering accommodation in some of the world's most exotic destinations.

    Promoting one-stop destinations

"We are excited and indeed honoured to be associated with such an internationally acclaimed brand," says managing director, Lesley Simpson. "Our initial focus will be to promote the one-stop destinations enabling South Africans to fly direct to their choice of hotel covering the likes of Hong Kong, India, Maldives, Mainland China, Thailand, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. However the portfolio is vast and so the option of choice is incredible for the potential incentive destination."

Further good news is that with LSC's appointment to motivate the awareness of the Shangri-La brand name in South Africa, there will also be an affiliation with Traders Hotels. Established in 1989 and based in major business centres in Asia and the Middle East, Traders Hotels are the practical choice for business and leisure travellers. They complement the luxury brands of Shangri-La and Kerry hotels, and offer many of the same benefits.
