The Other Guide to Cape Town

A high-quality full-colour free monthly magazine will be distributed to tourists arriving in Cape Town this summer.

The Other Guide to Cape Town is an activities and entertainment-based magazine aimed at the 800 000 international tourists and 4.2 million domestic tourists who visit Cape Town each year. It will be offered to visitors in the baggage reclaim and immigration areas at Cape Town airport just as they arrive in the city. In addition, the magazine will be distributed around Cape Town by mobile vendors at The Cable Car Station, Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches, Greenmarket Square and Long Street and at Robben Island Gateway. Five copies will also be mailed monthly to each of 500 guest houses and hotels around the Western Cape. It will also be available in 'distribution bins' at major backpackers and information bureaux in the larger hotels.

Editorially based and written in an entertaining and humorous style by some of the Cape's best writers, The Other Guide will highlight monthly a Don't Miss unique Cape experience, branded sections on Wining and Dining, Golfing, Up Country Safari, Staying Out Late, suggested Road Trips and where to Recover and Rejuvenate. It will feature a useful map of the city, A-Z listings, a Shopping and Adventure Guide and on-the-ground Capetonian issues.

The Other Guide will be published monthly every summer from November to April (with one winter edition). Print run is set at 35 000.
